Consider this your link to the world. With UC's Education Abroad Program (EAP), you can explore the international side of your field of study by attending a top-notch university or working at an internship or special-focus program in one of 40 countries.

Not only will you make progress toward your degree, you'll create lifelong friends, enhance your résumé and experience the cultural enrichment that comes from living abroad.

If you're interested in learning more about the real day-to-day workings of the United States government, you can experience it up close through the UC's Washington Center. For a full semester, you'll get a taste of public policy issues through a research seminar, center-sponsored trips and activities and biweekly forums that often feature members of Congress, ambassadors and UC faculty.

Internships are the centerpiece of the program, and students from all majors are accepted. 

In the past, engineering students have worked in the Department of Transportation, while biological science students have gained experience at the National Institutes of Health. Communications majors might work for the Voice of America, or history students at the Smithsonian Institution.

Experience California at its best! Live and work in Sacramento with students from throughout the UC system while you prepare for grad school or a career in public service or public policy. 

Located in the heart of California's capital, the UC Center Sacramento (UCCS) offers a distinctive program in public policy to UC students. The UCCS curriculum incorporates both academic coursework and an internship based on your interests and goals. Internship areas range from law, education, and business to the Legislature, the environment, and non-profits — just to name a few.  All majors and career interests are encouraged to apply – we have hosted students from over 50 undergraduate majors.

If you are a UC undergraduate in good standing, you may attend another UC campus for a quarter or a semester if space is available. Students choose to do this for a variety of reasons, from being able to take courses that aren't offered at their campus to getting a taste of another campus before deciding whether to transfer there.
