Paying for UC

Your students can afford UC. We’re here to help you and your students learn how.

We want your students to know there’s money available to help them attend UC, and we’re here to help them take advantage of it.

Here are some tips and resources to help you when counseling your students on UC’s financial aid:

1) Visit Paying for UC.

The Paying for UC section of the admissions website should be your students’ go-to-resource on UC’s financial aid.

2) Encourage your students to apply for financial aid by March 2.

Detailed instructions for applying are provided on this site. If your students need help filing out the FAFSA or California Dream Act application, download and print these helpful guides:

3) Spread the word about UC aid programs.

The Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan

For students whose annual family income is under $80,000, UC’s systemwide tuition and fees will be fully covered by gift aid during their first four years at UC (or two years if they are a transfer student) under the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan.

The Middle Class Scholarship program

Starting in the 2014-15 academic year, the Middle Class Scholarship program will provide scholarships to undergraduate students with family incomes up to $150,000. Learn more about the program »
