Transfer Pathways

Transfer Pathways: Your roadmap to UC's most sought-after majors

If you’ve decided on a major but want to keep your UC campus options open, consider completing a UC Transfer Pathway – a single set of courses you can take to prepare for your major on any of our nine undergraduate campuses. Not only will you have clear guidance on what courses you need to take, but you’ll have a competitive edge to get into any UC campus and be well positioned to succeed once you get here.

The Transfer Pathways include:

Pathways give you a clear roadmap to prepare for your major and be well positioned to graduate on time from any UC campus. Check out UC's Transfer Pathways Guide to see what courses at your community college will fulfill specific expectations of a Transfer Pathway.

If there isn't a Pathway for your chosen major or the campus you wanted isn't listed in the Pathway for your chosen major, you can find the information you need in ASSIST or the campus catalogs (linked at right).

An important note: The Pathways guide students who want to make themselves competitive across the UC system; some majors listed may want fewer courses for admission, but none will expect more. We strongly encourage students to apply to multiple campuses to improve their chances of admission. We also encourage students to consider participating in our new Pathways+ program which extends a guarantee of admission to students who complete a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) and complete the course expectations of a Transfer Pathway.
